For smokers, there has never been a good time. They were always blamed for the habit of smoking. But they find delight in it and do not care what the others can say. They find delight in the best cigarette brands such as Benson & Hedges cigarettes.
Benson & Hedges cigarettes are a British cigarette brand owned by Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco, as well as Japan Tobacco, depending on the region. In the UK, they are registered on Old Bond Street in London, and produced in Lisnafillan, Ballymena, Northern Ireland. They are mostly made from Virginia tobacco.
In some countries where Philip Morris does not own the Benson & Hedges trademark, such as the Philippines, variants of the North American brand of Benson & Hedges cigarettes sold under the “Philip Morris” brand use similar packaging. This cigarette was sold in Indonesia under the auspices of BAT Indonesia, but in 2008, the product was no longer in circulation.
Benson & Hedges was founded in Canada in 1873 by Richard Benson and William Hedges as Benson and Hedges Ltd. Alfred Paget Hedges succeeded his father in the business in 1885 . In the same year, Richard Benson left the business and the headquarters moved to England. In 1900 , it saw the opening of the Benson & Hedges Ltd branch in the United States . In the same year, the United States branch became independent, and was bought by Philip Morris International. Benson & Hedges Ltd in the UK was bought by Gallaher Limited in 1957 . Royal Warrants were issued to English companies in 1878, after five years the Royal Family needed supplies. This was canceled in 1999 due to “lack of demand within the Royal household”. The Warrant Seal, which was previously on the flip lid of the box, has been removed. In June 1977, Benson & Hedges Gallaher was represented, along with executives from six other major international tobacco companies, at an illegal Operation Berkshire-style meeting at Shockerwick House outside Bath, England, where they agreed on a strategy to promote Benson & Hedges cigarettes.
